Contracts with America

When Newt Gingrich and the GOP stormed Congress in 1994 they came with a Contract for America that stated their intentions very clearly. Though the Contract did not pass in its entirety, we are still governed by its momentum. Recently Robert Reich in The American Prospect and The Nation have launched alternatives to that original contract.
