This group of citizens involves anyone who is
actively
interested in the welfare of our children. It was organized to study
the educational achievement gap experienced by children from
high-poverty areas,
with a focus on the Twin Cities metropolitan area. All are welcome to
participate
without
reference to partisan affiliation or preference.
This effort was authorized by
the Board of Directors of the
Minnesota DFL Education Foundation in January 2007.

We sponsor the Achievement Gap study group and work to foment discussion of this and other progressive issues.
Thank God someone is working on this issue. It is too costly to our
society to continue to leave out important individuals in our society.
As we all know, Education is "Freedom."I look forward to being a
contributing member of this group. However, I believe within the
next 10 years, we shall accomplish our goal. My organization, Success
through Education has been working on this issue for the past ten
years. Working together we can make it happen.
