At George Latimer's Mayors' Forum on February 22nd Paul Grogan, President of the Boston Foundation, provided a fascinating account of the development of Pilot Schools in Boston. The Pilot Schools established thus far are outperforming the other Boston schools, and the concept has been embraced by their new Superintendent, Carol Johnson, who was the Minneapolis Superintendent not long ago.
