David Heistad spoke on Minneapolis school outomes

On May 10th the Committee heard Dr. David Heistad, Director of Research, Evaluation and Assessment at the Minneapolis Schools.  He brought charts showing Minneapolis graduation and drop out rates, proficiency in math, and early reading scores.  Early literacy has been improving among all groups with some gains also from all day kindergarten.  He also showed outcomes for students who chose suburban schools.
